Cannabidiol or CBD is the main component of the cannabis plant, in the Hemp variety, acting on the central nervous system. It does not cause the psychotropic effects of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), which is the psychoactive ingredient found in marijuana.

This denomination is given to that substance that contains more than 1% of THC (Δ-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol) in its composition.

According to the current legislation on the use of medicinal Cannabis in Peru, it is in the category of Controlled Substances, ceasing to be a prohibited product and that can be marketed with a prescription.

What is non-psychoactive Cannabis?

Non-psychoactive Cannabis is one that has less than 1% THC (Δ-9-Tetrahydrocannabinol) in its composition and, like its derivatives, belongs to the category of Non-Controlled Substances.
