According to an alert issued by the DIGEMID, in the last few days the presence in the Peruvian market of products made from Cannabis or any derivative thereof and lacking their respective sanitary registration has been detected, which constitutes an illegal act that threatens public health.

It is worth mentioning that these products, intended exclusively for medicinal and therapeutic use, are regulated by current health regulations, which guarantee their informed use, research, production, importation, promotion and marketing in order to prevent their illegal sale and distribution. The regulation also requires that the products mention the manufacturing conditions and the establishments where they have been manufactured; in case of non-compliance with the requirements, the authorities recommend to refrain from purchasing and consuming these products.
