With great expectations, the 1st congress of medical cannabis in Peru, organized by MEDICANN, was held in September, where the situation of Cannabis was analyzed from a legal and medical point of view.

Despite the beneficial results achieved by patients with certain diseases, the responsible and supervised consumption of medicines containing CBD and THC continues to face a series of prejudices on the part of some authorities, health professionals and also from the society. Precisely during the event, exhibitors and experts in the field shared their experiences and the results obtained with their patients, most of whom have raised their standards of living and, consequently, it has been beneficial for their relationship with their environment and common activities.

On the other hand, the congress also served for a greater understanding between the participants of this new market, including patients and/or relatives, doctors and companies. It is precisely the latter that plays a very important role in preventing the shortage of products, which are vital for the daily lives of thousands of people.
